What's in an X

X – X began with the Greeks simplifying the digraph ks and giving it the name chi. The Etruscans continued the ks sound and named it X which is what the Romans adopted into Latin. The Romans also use X to mean ten in their number system. We can also use it to mean the unknown or even a kiss when writing a message.
